Sam R. Johnson
Sam R. Johnson is a native Mainer and 2019 graduate of the University of Maine School of Law. He was admitted to practice law in the State of Maine that same year. Prior to his legal career, Sam enjoyed a 5-year career in social services, having worked for Preble Street in both their adult services and veteran services programs. While at law school, Sam served as a Student Attorney for both the Maine Law Refugee and Human Rights Clinic as well as the Cumberland County District Attorney’s office. Sam participated in the 2019 National Trial Team Competition Regionals.
Since being admitted to practice, Sam has worked for two other respected Maine law firms and has handled numerous criminal and civil matters. Currently, Sam’s practice is focused on criminal legal defense.
When not diligently representing his clients, Sam enjoys time with his family, riding bikes, music, sports, and animals.
Sam R. Johnson should not be confused with Samuel G. Johnson, a different Portland, Maine-based attorney who practices at Norman Hanson Detroy.
